SUN  We set off this morning and head north, stopping en route for coffee and lunch, arriving in time for dinner at our hotel in the heart of historic Harrogate.

MON  We spend the day with BBC TV antiques expert and entertaining presenter David Harper, well known from hit shows like Antiques Road Trip, Bargain Hunt, and Celebrity MasterChef. This is a hands-on, laughter-filled experience set in one of Harrogate’s best loved vintage spots Antique on High. Begin with David’s expert insights and entertaining anecdotes, then put your skills to the test in a lively two-hour bargain hunt challenge. As you search for hidden gems, David will share a wealth of fascinating, little-known stories tied to the antiques you may uncover. The day ends with an indulgent afternoon tea, where David will review your finds and reveal more about their history and value. A fun, engaging and unforgettable antiques adventure!

TUE  Today we visit Harewood House, a magnificent historic estate set within beautiful landscaped grounds, where you can discover its fascinating collections and heritage. Explore the elegant interiors, impressive art collections and take time to wander through the carefully designed gardens at your leisure. With plenty to see and do, it makes for a memorable day out combining history, culture and picturesque scenery.

WED  We head to the lovely city of York today and start the day with a relaxing cruise along the River Ouse with commentary from the expert skippers. The rest of the day is for you to spend at your leisure. Within York’s towering medieval walls is a heart of rich and colourful character, with its history recorded in the streets, buildings and museums gathered around the mighty Minster. Discover as many of the treasures and architectural gems this remarkable city has to offer, its cobbled streets, the famous Shambles and the National Railway Museum to name but a few. Maybe visit the Antiques Centre York in Stonegate and put the expert insight’s from Monday’s experience to good use! 

THU  We head for home today with stops en route, arriving back in the local area in the early evening.
