Newquay Knitting Retreat
Whether you’re an experienced knitter or looking to improve your skills, this weekend break is a perfect opportunity to enjoy your hobby, make new friends and experience Cornwall at the same time!

FRI We travel to Cornwall this morning, making our way through Dorset and Devon. En route, we call in to the glorious destination of Buckfast Abbey. Located at the centre of a picturesque valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, the site is home to a community of Benedictine Monks, and includes beautiful spacious gardens to explore.
We then continue our journey to Fistral Beach in Newquay – our home for the next three nights. On arrival at the hotel, there will be a meet and greet from your knitting leader who will introduce themselves and gauge each person’s knitting level and chat through what you would like to achieve from the retreat. There is then time to settle in before this evening’s dinner.
SAT & SUN After breakfast each morning, we prepare for a full day of knitting. Your knitting leader will be on hand each day to provide demonstrations and help with techniques while you get creative and enjoy the views over the stunning Fistral Bay.
There will be a break for lunch, and the day’s activity will finish mid-afternoon, allowing you time to make use of the lovely leisure facilities at the hotel – maybe go for a dip in the pool, or relax in the jacuzzi, or perhaps take a stroll down to the famous Fistral Beach. We then enjoy dinner each evening at the hotel’s lovely restaurant.
MON We head off after this morning’s breakfast and make our way homewards, calling in at the lovely city of Exeter on the way. Here you can browse the shops and have lunch in one of the many cafés and restaurants in the area before we then continue our journey home, arriving back in the early evening.
