WED We set off this morning for our journey to Llandrindod Wells for a four night stay. En route we visit the lively market town of Abergavenny on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park before we complete our journey to Llandrindod Wells. On arrival at the hotel, welcome tea/coffee and Welsh cakes will be served, and you will have time to settle in before this evening’s drinks reception and official welcome. We then enjoy our three course dinner before the live evening entertainment.

CHRISTMAS EVE This morning, we enjoy a hearty breakfast and then have time to spend at leisure exploring Llandrindod Wells. Take a stroll through the town and absorb the atmosphere of Victorian charm, or head to Rock Park, a Grade II listed green space dating back to the 1860s. You may prefer to take advantage of the hotel’s heated swimming pool and luxurious spa, or simply curl up with a good book before your light buffet luncheon is served. This afternoon there is the option to watch a Christmas film, with tea & Welsh cakes being served. This evening there is live entertainment to be enjoyed after dinner, and if you wish to attend a midnight service, most denominations are available in Llandrindod Wells.

CHRISTMAS DAY Merry Christmas! After a delicious breakfast this morning you will have time to relax and open your presents, enjoy a glass of mulled wine, and join Santa around the Christmas tree. We sit down for a traditional three course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and afterwards you can watch the King’s speech and enjoy tea and Christmas cake. This evening, enjoy a light buffet supper before enjoying the fantastic entertainment in the ballroom.

BOXING DAY After a full Welsh breakfast this morning, we head off for a scenic drive through the breathtaking landscape of reservoirs, woodlands and rugged hills of the Elan Valley, an area rich in history and featuring Victorian-built dams. We head back to the hotel in time for a light buffet luncheon, and there is then time to spend at leisure before tea and Welsh cakes are served this afternoon. There is live entertainment to be enjoyed this evening after dinner, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the hotel’s superb facilities.

SUN We set off homewards after our breakfast this morning, with stops en route.

Heathside travel provided excellent service to take a large group on a day trip to Bombay Sapphire, which was well organised through the company.
