DAY 1 We set off this morning to the popular all year-round seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare which sits on the lovely North Somerset coast with plenty to explore. Your sea-front hotel is located close to the famous Grand Pier, and there is so much to do in the resort from its long sandy beaches to the world’s largest helicopter museum, along with plenty of pubs and eateries. That’s if you have time with all the fun of the Christmas themed meals and entertainment at your hotel!
DAY 2 Today we head to the stunning city of Bath – a delight at any time of year, but extra special with the twinkling lights of the Christmas market that fills the ancient squares and lights up the Abbey. You may want to get lost in Austen or visit the Roman Baths, or for a tasty treat try a Sally Lunn Bun from the historic house which has been serving the same delicious recipe since 1680. You can also shop for Christmas gifts in the market stalls and fantastic range of shops and boutiques that line the beautiful mellow stone streets.
DAY 3 This morning we head off towards the cathedral city of Wells. En route, we make a stop at the Helicopter Museum for those who would like to spend the morning there (entry charges apply) whilst those who prefer to visit Wells can spend time at leisure exploring. Maybe visit the Cathedral or the Bishop’s Palace – home of the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years. We head back to the hotel this afternoon, where you can enjoy time to explore your lovely coastal resort of Weston-super-Mare. We recommend trying an afternoon tea at Tiffany’s on the end of the pier. Just make sure you leave room for your traditional seasonal themed dinner!
DAY 4 Another Christmas Market to explore today in buzzing Bristol. A visit to the bustling Harbourside area is a must with a hive of activity including shopping and entertainment. For a great way to see the city why not take a boat cruise for a water’s eye view. The SS Great Britain is also an amazing visit – seeing Brunel’s ship which changed the way we travel today, in the dry dock it was actually built in. Brunel’s mind and achievements are brought to life in the city where it all happened.
DAY 5 Time to reluctantly head for home today. However, the fun isn’t over with time to find some Christmas bargains at Clarks Village shopping outlet in Street on the way.
