MON We head off this morning for our ferry crossing over to the Isle of Wight. Upon arrival, we head to our home for the week, the fantastic Norton Grange Coastal Village. Nestled on the west coast of the island, this Warner hotel offers a relaxing seaside retreat
with stunning views over the Solent. With charming chalets, beautiful gardens, and easy access to coastal walks, it’s the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The restaurant and coffee shop offer a delicious variety of cuisine, and leisure facilities include an indoor
swimming pool, fitness studio, 9-hole pitch-and-putt, all-weather bowls green…and much more! Excellent entertainment is provided each evening by the resident band.
TUE Today we spend the day at leisure, exploring all the activities that our fantastic hotel has to offer. Keep your body active with a choice of fitness classes or flex your brain power with a quiz hosted by the friendly entertainment team. For something different, try your hand at laser pistol shooting or enjoy a tea tasting session or gin tasting class. If you’re feeling adventurous, sharpen your aim with rifle shooting or archery! Alternatively, you may wish to make the walk into Yarmouth and discover the lovely harbour and picturesque pier.
WED This morning we visit the former royal residence of Osborne House. Queen Victoria’s holiday home boasts graceful Italian-style architecture, stunning gardens and the curious charm of the children’s Alpine chalet and allotments. Explore this 19th century royal estate with its history and artwork – you will soon see why Queen Victoria described it as ‘paradise’. We then make our way back to our fantastic hotel, where you can enjoy the leisure facilities and relax in the picturesque surroundings.
THU To start our last full day on the Island, we head off to Havenstreet Station to join the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for a nostalgic 10 mile journey back in time through some lovely scenery. We then return to the hotel to enjoy more of the activities on offer.
FRI We leave the hotel this morning and head to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary which provides exceptional care and a loving forever home for over 100 donkeys and ponies. We enjoy a guided tour of the sanctuary and a lovely cream tea before heading back on the ferry to complete our homeward journey.
