WED After an early start, we make our way to Dover where we take the ferry across to Calais and continue our journey south through France to our overnight stop in Dijon.

THU After breakfast this morning, we continue our journey through France and into Italy, arriving at our hotel in Alassio, home for the next five nights.

FRI This morning we make our way to the border town of Ventimiglia where you can visit the famous outdoor market which runs all year round in the town. We then head to elegant San Remo for a stroll along the seafront of this olde world resort.

SAT We enjoy a day at leisure in Alassio today, where you can relax and enjoy the facilities at the hotel. Situated in the centre of town, only a five minute walk from the seafront and lively promenade, there is plenty to explore.

SUN Today we enjoy a full day at the famous Lemon Festival in the beautiful coastal town of Menton on the French Riviera. This unique event sees the town adorned with artistic and highly imaginative displays constructed from local oranges and lemons, and is truly a sight to behold. From your grandstand seating, enjoy the procession of floats decorated with citrus fruit, marching bands and drum majorettes before returning to the hotel for dinner.

MON This morning we head to the lovely seaside town of Diano Marina, with its charming pedestrian centre dotted with attractive cafés and shops. We then head back towards Alassio, calling at the pretty hilltop town of Cervo, where we can admire spectacular views over the surrounding coastline and Mediterranean Sea.

TUE We begin our homeward journey today, retracing our steps back into France to our overnight stop in Dijon, arriving in time for dinner.

WED We depart from our hotel after breakfast and head back to Calais, catching the ferry over to Dover and then arriving back home in the early evening.
