FRI  We set off this morning for Great Yarmouth, Norfolk’s premier coastal town and home to 15 miles of golden, sandy beaches. We stop on the way for coffee and lunch, and arrive at our seaside hotel with time to settle in before this evening’s dinner. You may wish to take a stroll this evening along the seafront and enjoy the scenery along the promenade in this classic coastal resort.

SAT  This morning we visit Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, a beautifully elegant country house set in a large estate with a decorative walled garden, picturesque lake, 520 acres of woodland and trails to wander. Inside, we can visit the opulent Great Hall, complete with stained glass windows dating from the 15th century; the fascinating Dining Room, where the table is set for an 1860s dinner party; and the magnificent Gothic library, which contains a staggering 5,000 books, the oldest of which dates from 1509. We then head to the classic, traditional seaside town of Cromer. Enjoy the wide sandy beach, perfect for a sunny day stroll, or walk down the historic Victorian pier. We then head back to Great Yarmouth where you will have time to relax this evening and enjoy dinner.

SUN  Spend the day sailing and steaming across ‘Britain’s Magical Waterland’, the Norfolk Broads, and navigate a landscape of serene natural beauty. Cruise aboard a Mississippi Paddle Steamer, winding your way under 17 bridges, alongside charming thatched cottages, timeless windmills, and forgotten churches, with reed beds rich in local wildlife enhancing your journey. Delight in a nostalgic steam train journey through the picturesque Bure Valley from Aylsham to Wroxham, on Norfolk’s longest narrow-gauge railway, rumbling through unspoilt countryside and idyllic villages. 

MON  We leave our hotel after this morning’s breakfast, and make our way to Windsor, which offers a delightful blend of history, charm and riverside scenery, with time to explore its picturesque streets, independent shops and welcoming cafés. Dominated by its iconic castle and rich royal heritage, you will have time to have lunch and browse this historic destination before we continue our journey homewards, arriving back in the local area in the early evening.
