FRI We travel to Fishguard this morning for the ferry crossing to Rosslare, and continue to Waterford for our three night stay at the lovely Dooley’s Hotel.

SAT Today we visit Kilkenny, a well-preserved medieval town with many original features. Explore with a ride on the Kilkenny Road Train as it weaves around the town and through the narrow streets to reveal the abbey, cathedral and many other highlights, ending up at the wonderful castle on the banks of the river. You then have time to explore at your leisure.

SUN Enjoy a free day in Waterford, established by the Vikings in the 9th Century. We have included a morning visit to the internationally-famous Waterford Crystal which has been reborn in the centre of town. After your visit you are free to explore the city on foot.

MON We depart after breakfast and travel to Midleton, home of the Jameson Experience at the Old Midleton Distillery. This museum depicts the story of Irish whiskey with a tour of the old distillery, and a whiskey tasting. We then continue our journey to Castleisland in County Kerry and the River Island Hotel, our base for the next three nights.

TUE We head to Killarney today, set in the Irish Lake District and renowned for its scenic beauty. We take a jaunting car ride which runs through the Killarney National Park and along the edge of Lough Leane to Ross Castle. From here catch the ‘Lily of Killarney’ to cruise across the lake, a memorable way to view the surrounding mountains.

WED Enjoy a full day tour around the Ring of Kerry today, and savour 100 miles of spectacular scenery as you travel along the narrow coastal road of the Iveragh Peninsula. The journey begins at Killorglin, then leads through scenic villages to Cahersiveen for lunch. We then continue on to Moll’s Gap, passing Ladies View and the entrance to Muckross before returning to Castleisland.

THU Today we visit the famous Blarney Woollen Mills, which offers the best range of genuine Irish products, before continuing to our overnight hotel just outside Wexford.

FRI We head to Rosslare for the sailing to Fishguard before completing our journey home.
